About us
The Group was formed in 2004 to offer Support to men and their
Partners and Carers in the Nottingham and surrounding Districts.

Our Group has well over 100 members and supporters, mainly men who
have had, or are being treated for, prostate cancer.

We hold group meetings on the second Thursday of February, April,
June, August, October and December from 7pm to 9pm

We meet at various venues on the Nottingham City Hospital campus,
including at the Maggies drop-in centre. See our Newsletter for
			details.

We publish a bi-monthly Newsletter, which we circulate by email free
to anybody who would like to register to receive it (see “Contact
			Us”)

We also periodically circulate news and information about prostate
			cancer by email

Our meetings are free to attend. Everybody is welcome– men: their
			wives or partners: their carers.

We aim to be an informal and sociable group. We periodically invite
guest speakers, who always give the opportunity to raise questions.
We always try to make time for individuals to raise issues important
to them, and encourage small group discussions about any topic or
concern people affected by prostate cancer may have. We are not
experts – but we may know someone who is.

And we have a group of men who have suffered from prostate cancer
and are willing to discuss their experiences over the telephone.
